Group Therapy

Group therapy is advised in certain situations or issues that are more psychoeducational in nature, yet helps in patient learning skills to handle their problems identified.  Prior to the Group therapy module, all clients will undergo a complete individualized assessment and often for a brief time period of 3-6 months, with typical sessions of 4, 8 or 12 as the case may be.  In lieu of Group therapy, if such services are not able to be provided due to scheduling, clients are encouraged to attend PARENT TRAINING, ALCOHOLIC ANNONYMOUS or NARCOTICS ANNONYMOUS or other established services within the community.  Every effort will be made to enroll in such services and please ask your clinician for guidance and help in the matter.  A typical group will be ranging from 40 to 60 minutes and include 4 to 6 person in a focused group or maximum of 12-15 in other cases.
