Individual Therapy

Individual therapy is a 1: 1 session, face to face with the clinician and generally range from a typical 30-40 minutes of time.  In the initial phases, or during assessment, it may take upto an hour or longer in certain cases.  While it is difficult to exactly predict, how much time will be spent in the office visit, please do provide for a stay of atleast 60-90 minutes of your time.  Many times, the parent may also be seen with a child under 18 years of age and the clinician may also request leave of the parent, if any sensitive and confidential information is being tackled or interviewed.

Some individual therapy sessions may be combined or the clinician may prefer to use the Crisis Intervention Module, more discussed later on this web page or use play therapy.  General CPT codes include: 90801, 90806, 90808 or 90814 or 99245.
