Tri State Counseling and Mediation LCSW PLLC is a professional health care company registered in 2006 and engaged in providing clinical, consultative and support services in Health, Education, Forensic/Legal, Family areas. Founded by Vasu C Murthy LCSW, the company provides the state of the art support counseling services to children, adolescents and adults/family throughout the Tri State areas of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. Providers specialize with teenager problems and families welcome Couple and marital therapy, Divorce mediation, Domestic violence, substance abuse problems Career, job stresses, and relationship issues included.

Services are also provided in other parts of US and other countries including India, United Kingdom as needed on case by case basis. Besides English, providers are fluent in Hindi, Urdu, Kannada, Telugu and other Indian languages.

Providers mainly use Behavioral approach / CBT focus on reality based analysis/issues. Mr. Murthy is an acclaimed specialist in Crisis Intervention and Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD). Providers will also provide conduct short term or brief therapy to resolve emergent issues.

Typical problems providers handle include stress from job, family and children, domestic violence, alcohol and substance abuse problems as well as anxiety and depression. Mr. Murthy is a specialist for ADD/ADHD & CHILDHOOD DISORDERS. Vasu C Murthy is a seasoned Clinician in all areas of medical & mental health- social work as well as in Education with his rich experience as both school social worker, Special Education Administrator. Graduated with top honors in Social Work, he has also earned his Management (MBA) in both industrial and non-profit management (Brandeis, MA). He also has a degree in Law from India and degrees in Education Administration from Queens College, NY.

Vasu began his career in New York in Lincoln Hospital, worked at Kingsboro Psychiatric Center and also with NYC Department of Education. He worked as a Consultant Clinician for Community Counseling and Mediation, Brooklyn, before moving to private practice.

Physicians And Psychiatrists

Board Certified Physicians in Internal Medicine such as Dr.R.Gupta, Dr.V.Chakote, Dr.K.Katpadi or Board Certified Pediatricians such as Dr.K.Master, Neurologists like Dr.Zia Ahmed, Psychiatrists like Dr.Hameedi are referred on as needed basis. All physicians are independent practitioners, who are licensed and have their own clinic policies and procedures. Tri State Counseling will only make appropriate referrals and clients will follow their own network of physicians or make necessary arrangements.

Occasionally, Tri State Counseling will hire necessary services on fee per service basis and clients are responsible for the charges at the physician offices at the time of service. Please contact the physician office for full details when referred.
